Week 5: Refinements and BU LibCheck Launch
March 3, 2025 - March 7, 2025
Day 20: Meeting with the Programming Team

We had a meeting with the programming team, led by one of the OJTs, to clarify the gathered information from the evaluation. This discussion helped us identify key areas for improvement and necessary adjustments before the official launch.
Day 21: Adjusting Functionality Based on Feedback

Following the evaluation feedback, I worked on refining the system's functionality to better align with user needs. This included fixing minor issues and optimizing certain processes.
Day 22: Continued Adjustments

I continued working on the refinements, ensuring that all necessary changes were implemented correctly. Testing was also conducted to confirm the effectiveness of these adjustments.
Day 23: Discussion with Ma'am Majel

Ma'am Majel visited and we had a discussion about BU LibCheck. She provided final insights and preparations for its official launch the next day.
Day 24: BU LibCheck Launch

The much-awaited launch of BU LibCheck took place, attended by Ms. Laila Belardo, Reference and Information Services Librarian of the University Library, and BULS Network Services & IT Section staff, Mr. Michael Nicolas B. Nicol. Dr. Davie Balmadrid delivered the opening remarks on behalf of ICTO Director, Dr. Aris J. Ordoñez.
We also discussed the potential implementation of BU LibCheck across all Bicol University campuses, including satellite campuses. As a result, we will need to make further adjustments to accommodate a broader range of users and ensure seamless integration university-wide.
Conclusion
Week 5 was a significant milestone, marking the official launch of BU LibCheck. The feedback-driven refinements ensured a smooth deployment, and discussions about expanding the system to all BU campuses opened new opportunities for further development.
